Home Energy Assistance (HEAP)

HEAP is a federally funded program that can help eligible people pay for their energy costs. If you qualify,HEAP can also repair or replace a furnace if it is not working.

Usually, HEAP benefits begin in Mid-November. There are three kinds of benefits: regular, emergency and equipment repair.

HEAP Application

Regular Benefit

This benefit helps eligible, low income households with their heating costs.

Emergency Benefit

This benefit helps eligible, low income households who are having a heating emergency and cannot resolve it on their own.

Heating Equipment Repair

If an income eligible household is having an issue with their main heating unit, they may be able to get help through this benefit.
